Available Positions at PHL Food & Shops
Housekeeping / Custodial
Starting Salary: $16/hour
MarketPlace PHL is seeking Housekeeping/Concourse Coordinators to join our seasoned custodial team in servicing the food and shops at the Philadelphia International Airport. Concourse Coordinators provide critical trash removal and bussing services to maintain the Food Courts and retails areas of the airport.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of custodial, housekeeping or similar experience preferred.
- Some knowledge of housekeeping and floor care preferred.
- Proven ability to stand & walk for an entire shift, lift up to 30 pounds, and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
This position involves walking and standing more than 75% of the time, working a non-traditional and varied schedule including early morning, evenings, weekends, holidays, and during severe weather situations. Starting wage $16/hour with benefits.

Facilities Manager
Starting Salary: $85,000/year
MarketPlace PHL is seeking a Facilities Manager to join our operational team in servicing the food and shops at the Philadelphia International Airport.
Job Type: Full-time
Job description:
- Assist in overseeing the operation of the airport’s retail and food & beverage concessions management program.
- Maintain all areas of responsibility at an extremely high level, in a timely, efficient, and smooth manner.
- Monitor merchant operations for compliance with relevant, rules, regulations, and operating requirements.
- Manage contract service providers and ensure the quality of the work is consistent with requirements outlined in the service agreement.
- Manage all contract service providers for compliance with established scope of work.
- Facilitate Risk Management initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and manage the departmental budget for contract services.
- Ensure that all contract services are being completed in accordance to established agreements.
- Coordinate schedules for the completion of all contract services.
- Conduct monthly inspections of Food and Beverage locations.
- Meet with contract service providers at least quarterly to discuss the status of the program.
- Execute special assignments as may be given from time to time.
- Assist in managing the Food and Shops Recycling Program and other Sustainability initiatives.
- Manage the sanitary line jetting program.
- Manage grease maintenance program.
- Maintain effective relationships with merchants, contractors, Division of Aviation, and airport tenants.
- Respond to retail and food & beverage merchant operational issues, problems, and requests.
- Respond to all merchant questions and issues relative to contract services.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- At least five years of experience in operations management is necessary.
- Knowledge of facility operations standards and practices.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driver’s record and personal transportation is required.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and email programs.
- Some familiarity with relevant OSHA regulations is helpful.
- Strong interpersonal skills and good personnel, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to motivate, train and communicate information to others.
- Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities, make good decisions quickly and be flexible.
- Willingness to work a varying schedule is essential.
